What it covers
Euclidean geometry is the proof-based part of Paper 2. It revises the circle theorems from Grade 11 – angles at the centre and on the circumference, cyclic quadrilaterals and tangents – and adds the Grade 12 work on proportion and similarity: what happens when a line parallel to a side cuts across a triangle, areas of triangles with equal heights, similar triangles and Pythagoras proved by similarity. A proof only earns marks when each statement is backed by a valid reason, so writing clear proofs matters as much as knowing the theorems.
